RICKMANSWORTH FESTIVAL
Annual event held over a weekend in mid May. Held at Batchworth Lock, Rickmansworth. Three live music stages, environment exhibitions, guest speakers on canal history and an animal farm especially for the kids. A wonderful array of canal boats with owners out en masse to polish the brass, tidy the ropes and run the engines. A chance for youngsters to explore a miniature model canal network and the cabin of former working boat. A battle of the boat owners in the Tug of War, boat trips and Environment Fair.
