HEAD OF THE RIVER RACE, LONDON
Annual rowing event usually held on the Saturday before the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race. A processional race for eights rowed over the 4.25 mile championship course from Mortlake to Putney - the Oxford-Cambridge course in reverse. Up to 420 crews and 3750 competitors start at 10-second intervals. Pictures taken 27 Mar 2010.
