THE GREAT RIVER RACE
Londons annual 22 mile rowing race from Greenwich to Ham. Biggest of its type in Europe, with 2000 competitors and 300 boats. Handicapped start, over 75 minutes. Join thousands of spectators at the riverside near Ham House. Live music and BBQ at Chiswick Pier. The race lasts about 6 hours. Pictures taken Sat 05 Sep 2009.
