CROWTHORNE CARNIVAL
Event held every two years on a Saturday in early July. 12:00 Carnival parade with floats, dancers and drummers. The usual route is Wellington Business Park, Dukes Ride and High Street to the Morgan Recreation Ground behind the fire station. The 2008 format, probably typical, was: parade led by Reading Scottish Pipe Band, PG Stompers Jazz Band in front of Crowthorne Library, procession of floats from local schools and organizations as well as the Carnival Princess and her attendants, with additional entertainment being provided by Circus Scene roving performers. Main Stage Programme13:30 ~ Fete opening & Presentations, 13:40 ~ Edgbarrow Swing Band, 14:00 ~ Lafour Dance & Drama School, 14:20 ~ Reading Scottish Pipe Band, 14:30 ~ South East Berks Gang Show, 14:50 ~ Jayne A Coleman Academy of Dance, 15:10 ~ Crowthorne Musical Players, 15:30 ~ Samba Circus grand finale.
