CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS, LONDON
300,000 people flock to the annual Chinese New Year celebrations in Londons' China Town. 11:00-18:00 food and cultural stands throughout China Town, with firecrackers in Leicester Square. Main stage in Trafalgar Square, with entertainment, Lion and Dragon dancing and music. Big parade at 11:00 in Charring Cross Road, although this did not happen in 2009. Pictures show the 2008 event.
