BOGNOR BIRDMAN
Annual event held over a weekend usually in July. 11:00-17:00. Competitors launch themselves from the pier and attempt flight in home made flying contraptions and winged fancy dress costumes, raising thousands of pounds for charity. Popular event, with live music, market stalls and local radio etc. Saturday - the heats. Sunday - main flying event. Free viewing for the public. Pictures Sunday 10 Sep 2006.
